LAURA’S DAYCARE
Home
Our Mission
Laura's daycare aims to support each child's health, safety, and well-being while stimulating interaction between children and teachers by creating a positive, engaging environment that encourages age-appropriate development and independence. We provide an inclusive, safe, and nurturing environment for all children. Laura's daycare recognizes that relationships established with families provide us with invaluable information about cultural background, beliefs, skills, and language. We partner and collaborate with community professionals for staff development and growth, which will enhance our ability to meet the individual needs of all children.
Our Philosophy
Laura's daycare is dedicated to creating a community of creative and curious students. A play-based curriculum, exploration with toys and materials, and imaginative play form the foundation for lifelong learning and an exciting, stimulating childhood for every child.
Programs
We take children from birth to 5 years old. Our programs are as follows:
Infants: 6 weeks to 12 months
Young Toddlers: 12 to 24 months
Toddlers: 2 to 3 years
Preschool: 3 years to 4 years
School Age: 5 years
Pre-K: 4-year-olds who will be eligible for Kindergarten the following year
Curriculum
We use an age-appropriate curriculum for children to make our programs interesting and skill-enhancing, focusing on fine motor and gross motor skills.
This curriculum includes child-initiated and teacher-directed activities and experiences offered to young children that support and enrich their development physically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively.
Daycare Activities:
Blocks
Dramatic Play
Library
Gross Motor Play
Manipulative Play
Math
Science
Art
Outdoor play is important to a child's physical development and is included in both the morning and afternoon schedules. Self-selection or "free play" is a daily part of the curriculum, allowing children to choose their activities, promoting creative expression and the development of important social skills.
For Parents
Enrolling and reserving a future space for your child is simple. Contact us to schedule a time for you and your child to visit our daycare. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to meet our staff. After this, the registration process may begin. Various forms need to be completed. Your child's space is reserved once they are read, completed, and signed. The final step is to decide on a start date. We accept state Child Care Contracts and offer Self-Pay options.
